Instagram Links in Posts and Reels: Limits and Planning
Clickable links in posts and Reels are part of Meta One Advanced. Instagram says the plan includes links in 4 posts and 4 Reels per month. Use each allowance for content with one clear next step, and confirm the feature appears on your account before paying for it.

The limit is split by format
Meta One Advanced includes native links in 4 posts and 4 Reels per month. Treat those as two separate allowances. Instagram does not describe them as eight links that can be moved between formats.
Advanced starts at $49.99 per month in Meta's launch announcement. Availability, price, and benefits can vary by region, app, and account. Check the offer shown to your account and look for the link control in the publishing flow before you subscribe.
Give a commission post the shortest route
A viewer interested in ScareKrow's illustrated work should not have to cross a general homepage and search for the commission mentioned in the post. A native link can open the current brief, available slots, price guide, or booking form directly.
Match the destination to the piece on screen. If commissions are closed, point to a portfolio or waiting-list page rather than an inactive form. The destination should repeat the offer, creator name, and image subject closely enough that the visitor knows the tap worked.
Open the page while signed out and on a phone. Check that it loads without an account, states what happens next, and does not hide the main action below a newsletter popup.
Keep a fan-art link tied to the work
DIBI XD's Resident Evil fan art gives the link a precise subject. A relevant portfolio page, process post, or finished-piece page continues that subject. A generic link hub makes the viewer choose the topic again.
Be precise about ownership and rights on the destination. Link to work you can share, identify the source property honestly, and avoid implying an official relationship that does not exist. A direct link reduces steps, but it does not change copyright or commercial-use rules.
If the caption needs context before the click, use the Instagram caption writing guide. The first line should explain what the viewer will get after tapping.
Choose four jobs before choosing four URLs
- Conversion: a product, booking, ticket, application, or commission that is ready now.
- Depth: the full article, tutorial, case study, or source behind a short post.
- Timing: a registration or release page with a real deadline.
- Trust: an official reference when a post makes a factual claim that needs context.
Do not spend the allowance because a post performed well after the fact. Decide whether the post has a useful destination before publishing. Record the post, URL, date, and job so two teammates do not use the same monthly slot accidentally.
Keep the profile route working
A native link allowance does not replace your profile links. Visitors may reach an old post after its offer ends, see a version of Instagram without the feature, or want a different destination. Keep the primary profile link current and name it by outcome rather than "click here."
The Instagram bio links guide covers ordering and signed-out testing. The Meta One creator guide compares the wider subscription before you pay for one link feature.

Instagram post link questions
Can Instagram posts and Reels have clickable links?
Yes, for accounts with access to Meta One Advanced. Instagram says subscribers can add native links to four posts and four Reels each month. Rollout and account availability can differ, so check the offer shown inside Instagram before subscribing.
How many links does Meta One Advanced include?
Instagram's September 15, 2026 creator announcement says Advanced includes links in four posts and four Reels per month. The announcement describes separate allowances, not eight links that can be assigned to either format.
Do free Instagram captions now have clickable links?
Instagram's announcement describes native post and Reel links as a Meta One Advanced feature. A written URL in an ordinary caption may still appear as text, so keep a clear profile-link route for people who do not see a native link.
What should an Instagram post link to?
Choose the closest useful next step for that specific post, such as the featured product, event booking page, commission form, full article, or source material. Test the destination while signed out and on a phone before publishing.
